History

LKE stands for Lauritz Knudsen Electric. In the late 1970's, the LK Electric Company was established in Asia by its parent company, LKE (Europe) of Denmark. It was to manufacture LK's range of products, namely, the Domino, the Tabular of low tension switchboards, the ELC-24 medium voltage panel, and the Ring Main unit (RMU).

By the mid-80's, with an influx of technology from Denmark, a Switch Fuse Division was set up. This was also to cater to the growing dmands for low voltage components. Popular products such as the Switch Fuse, Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB), Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB), Load Break Switches (LK ELC-24), and Vacuum Circuit Breakers (LK VS-1) were all produced in various factories in Asia.

In 1992, LKE Malaysia was established and by 1994, LKE offices in Zhuhai, Shanghai, and Beijing were established in China. At the same time, LKE introduced the Domino Modular System as a low tension switchboard solution.

Today, most of LKE's manufacturing takes place in Malaysia, with key distribution and support centers in all of Asia, and most recently venturing into the North American market.

Efforts in R&D are constantly focused on this business goal and to live up to our motto of "Better and Safer." The company also prides itself with its state of the art production facilities and the use of technology to aid in production automation and the quality control goal of Zero Defect.

What we do

LKE is the sister company of LKE Engineering USA, with over 100 years of history using advanced technology to develop and manufacture high quality Low to Medium Voltage electrical components. LKE's Low to Medium Voltage switchboards use either air, Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) or vacuum.

LKE is well known for its cost effective, high quality, and efficient manufacturing processes.

Core Expertise

LKE's core expertise is the design and manufacture of power protection and distribution equipment for power transmission and distribution systems. From a services and engineering standpoint, LKE also provides custom design and building of turnkey power plant solutions of up to 250MW/132kV.

We specialise in medium voltage and low voltage switching and protection equipment such as circuit breakers, disconnectors and complete metal-clad switchgear systems.
